My Library
To read helps you to grow as person… Personalize your reading!
When I was a child I didn’t like to read, but since I’m young, I love books. That’s why I store my books in my room and I start to have a nice library… May be, for that reason, I consider it very difficult to give a list of favorite books. But just for you I’ll whisper my super beloved books…
- The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke
- Cor de Roure by Emili Teixidor
- Treasure Island by Robert L. Stevenson
- Second fatherland by Jules Verne
Do you want to know more? Ok, I can recommend books for different ages starting for beginners, like
- The Railway children by Edith Nesbit
- Dídac, Berta i la màquina de lligar boira by Emili Teixidor
- The Cake in the Sky by Gianni Rodari
Do you have younger sisters or brothers? Surprise them reading a bit every day.
Start with The Litle Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry. They will love it!
Even more? Ok, here is a list for young adults:
- Matilda and The witches by Roald Dahl
- Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
- Hände weg von Mississippi and When Santa fell to earth by Cornelia Funke
- Two years vacation, Dick sand, a captain at fifteen, Journeys and Adventures of Captain Hatteras, In search of the Castaways, The green ray and Miguel Strogoff by Jules Verne
- Moby Dick by Herman Melvill
…And to keep reading and reading:
I admit that now every night I enjoy reading suspense, crime and investigations novels, especially Brunetti’s adventures in Venice whose writer is Donna Leon. But I also like Sue Grafton and Patricia D. Cornwell, which I have to read in English because their crimes are not translated into Catalan.
I know, for example that my creator likes to read gardening books, like me, but she also enjoys reading books about the South Seas. Actually she felt in love with that part of the world reading South Seas Tales by Jack London. After, she read Omoo: A narrative of adventures in South Seas by Herman Melvill, In the South Seas by Stevenson, La Ruta Blava de J.M. de Segarra, Paradisos Oceànics d’Aurora Bertrana. But I know she likes to read women writers as Matilde Asensi, Maruja Torres, Carme Riera, and Isabel Clara-Simó.
Those are some examples of books I like it, but for sure you have others. Don’t be shy and share them! Don’t forget to tell us why you like them, ok?
And of course in my library there is also MY BOOK! Take a look inside…
